Hearing Services

I have had outstanding service from the audiologists at the Northeast Hearing & Speech Center. All audiologists are not alike and sadly I had a poor one before I switched to Northeast. The difference was night and day. Success with hearing aids is 50% dependent upon the quality of the audiologist, who must have both the technical competence to "fine tune" the device to the individual as well as the willingness to listen carefully to the patient. My first, pre-Northeast audiologist had neither and I paid a high price. Thank you Northeast Hearing for giving me back my professional life and the ability to fully participate in family life.

Since 1990 I have benefited from the services received by Northeast Hearing and Speech. Thanks to the excellent testing, evaluation and hearing aid fittings they have provided, I have been able to lead a successful life, both professionally as well as personally. My audiologist continually kept abreast of new developments in hearing aids, especially ones that would benefit my degree of hearing loss. When hearing the wee voices of my grandkids proved to be a problem, she said she had just the answer and fitted me to new hearing aids, solving my problem.

After a week with the new Oticon hearing aids, I’m amazed! These new Oticon hearing aids certainly surpass the ones I have had before, by a wide margin. Coupled with the updated hearing assessment, these new aids have allowed me to experience things I have not been able to enjoy in a long time.

A couple of years ago during a routine ENT doctor visit I was told I should seek help for a hearing loss he had detected. (I just thought people didn't speak up or speak plainly.) However I did get tested in a few of the garden variety hearing aid stores. Sure enough, I did need some help but the conversations I had with them were not about my hearing loss, but rather all about the products they were offering. And then I found Northeast Hearing and Jamie Healy. After her tests, she explained the results and how hearing loss effects us. It was after several visits and over a year before I purchase my new hearing aides (no sales pressure here). I recommend her and the staff at Northeast Hearing without a moment's hesitation.

I wanted to take the time to thank you and your staff for the wonderful, stress free experience I had bringing my 2-year old in for a hearing evaluation.… working with you took a very stressful situation, as stressed parents dealing with some new assessments of “delays” in our son, and diffused it. Thank you for the excellent service you provide.

Once again you came to my rescue with your expertise in audiology. The thorough ear examination and your mechanical abilities in troubleshooting and repairing my hearing aid was a thing of beauty.
