Ann Rita Smith

Speech-Language Pathologist

Ann Rita Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned a BS degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a concentration in Psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington and an MS degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Vermont. During her time at UVM, Ann participated in the Vermont Rural Autism Project (V-RAP) and developed the Teacher Assessment of Student Communicative Competence (TASCC), a teacher rating scale for children in grades 1 through 5, published in 2000.Ann has a special interest in working with individuals who stutter and facilitating stuttering support groups for adolescents and adults. Ann is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is also a certified provider of Compton P-ESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language).
