Northeast Hearing and Speech is seeking an Accounting Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a group of professionals dedicated to supporting the needs of children and adults with hearing and speech-language challenges. Northeast Hearing and Speech, a 501(c)(3) organization has been serving people with communication challenges in the Greater Portland community since 1924.  We are searching for an accounting manager to serve as a financial leader and supervisor of the accounting department.  The successful candidate will supervise an administrative staff of 5, develop policies, procedures, and strategic planning for the accounting department, serve as the daily finance manager and the conduit of financial information to the Executive Director and the Agency’s board, and coordinate the annual budget and audit processes for Northeast Hearing and Speech.  NHS offers a strong benefit package including a generous amount of PTO, Holidays, Health, Dental, and Life Insurance, and a 401K match. Northeast Hearing and Speech is seeking a full time or part time speech-language pathologist (CCC or CFY) to join our team of 15 SLP’s and 3 audiologists. Services are family centered and/or integrated within a preschool setting. Experience and interest in working with children ages birth to five is a must. Opportunity to coordinate and deliver services in a variety of settings and service delivery models including special purpose and mainstream preschool programs, Headstart, school age, in our clinic setting, and/or remotely. Maine State License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or strong Clinical Fellows may apply. Strong team support and continuing education opportunities. Volunteer Opportunities:  Looking to volunteer?  We have a need for someone to help with filing, scanning, and helping us transition from paper to our new electronic medical records system.  The ideal candidate will be available from 2-4 hours per week for 6-8 weeks (or longer if interested).  This is a nice opportunity to learn more about the world of speech-language pathology and audiology, hone your office skills, or simply help out a great organization in need.  Please contact us at 207.874.1065 for more information.
