Portland, ME – Northeast Hearing & Speech, a nonprofit committed to Helping People to Hear, Speak & Communicate, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of August.
This exciting program has been designed to create revenue streams for deserving local nonprofits like Northeast. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag purchased at the 295 Forest Avenue, Portland Hannaford location, Northeast will receive a $1 donation to help fulfill its mission of Helping People to Hear, Speak & Communicate. The bags retail for $2.29.
“We are very honored to have been recognized by Hannaford’s managers for our commitment to children and the elderly in our communities,” said Northeast’s Executive Director, Laurie Mack. Northeast has a goal of raising $500 during August as a beneficiary of the program, which is equivalent to 500 bags purchased in support of the cause. Northeast plans to use projected funds to support its children’s charitable clinical programming, in order to further carry out its mission.
